JAMBOREES ! ! !

Here’s some things to think about when preparing for the Jamboree:
• First, when you count all the age groups as a separate team, there will be
approximately 87 teams competing in 50 different games on 7 separate fields and
around 1000 players out there on Saturday ! ! Plus their friends and family ! ! It will
be chaotic at times, but our goal is to make it as smooth as possible ! And it
WILL BE FUN ! ! !
• No Dogs Allowed ! ! Please do not bring your dog ! (Sorry ! ! )
• Make sure you have a mouthguard and water (and jersey).
• Please arrive an hour ahead of time and be prepared for limited parking and the
need to spend time looking for a space; it’s always crowded. Meet and gather at
the field shown on the Schedule (distributed on Friday).
• Make sure you are subscribed to TeamApp and have the ‘alerts’ enabled so you get
messages as necessary. All alerts go there ! ! Schedules, Schedule Changes, Field
Changes, Weather Delays etc. It’s essential that you are hooked in to TeamApp !
(To sign up, go to the AppStore on your phone, download Stack Team App—the logo
is a big ‘T’ on a white and dark background. Ask to join ‘Aurora Youth Rugby’ and
you will be approved shortly.)
• Please don’t text, just CALL with questions during the Jamboree. It’s much easier
for the coaches. 303-588-1809
• Our governing organization, RugbyColorado will have a tent set up where you can
see the schedule and a map of the field layouts. You can always find that info there,
but hopefully we will be able to get the schedule to you via TeamApp on Friday.
Field Maps usually aren’t available until Saturday at the field.
• Here’s the Schedule for the year.
o May 25th - A Schedule - Pleasant View - Boulder
o June 1st - B Schedule - Aurora Sports Park
o June 8th - A Schedule - Lowry Soccer Complex
o June 15 - B Schedule - Pleasant View - Boulder
o June 22 - A Schedule - Air Force Academy
o June 29 - B Schedule - Kroh Park – Loveland
o First game will be at 9am, then 10am, 11:30 and 12:30
o “A Schedule” means U8s play first and U15s play last. B Schedule means we reverse
that.

• Lots of other teams have tents set up. Do we have a group of parents that would be willing to
set up and ‘man’ a tent? We can provide one. Let us know.
• Please do not yell at the Refs, your Teammates or Opponents. Rugby is a
‘Gentlemen’s Game’—a rough game but played with Good Manners,
Sportsmanship and Teamwork !
